Coffee lovers blog Hop

23 June 2017

Welcome to the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. Altenew is thrilled to be a sponsor for this amazing hop. We are giving away two gift vouchers worth 30$. One on the Altenew Scrapbook blog and one on the Altenew Card Blog.   I created a layout using the Tea Time set from Altenew. You can find out how to play along by visiting the Coffee Lovers Blog.

To create my layout I started by drawing a circle in the middle of the page and added some doodled circles around it. Then I stamped various images from the stamp set around the circle. For color I used some watercolor pencils.  The title is stamped in the center of the circle. This was really easy to make and the technique can be used on a card too.

The background I used is Altenew Cardstock called Spicy Yoghurt. As embellishments I used some enamel dots which come in the Altenew New Day card kit.

You can see how I made the layout in the video below or you can watch it on YouTube in HD.

Check out our sale on the Coffee Love and Tea Time bundles.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Ranunculus

15 June 2017

Hello everyone and welcome. Today Altenew is launching their 4th special Build-A-Flower set. This month we have the gorgeous Build-A-Flower Ranuculus!Every month on the 15th Altenew will have a special release of a new Build-A-Flower Set – so make sure to look out for these beauties they are sure to make an incredible collection!
Each of these special releases will comprise of a 6×8 stamp set and a coordinating die so you can easily create your projects. This will only be available as a set, and not individual products.
I created two layouts with the stamp and die set. You can see the second one on the Altenew Scrapbook blog.
So to celebrate this special release, we are giving away a $30 gift certificate to THREE lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Scrapbook Blog  for a chance to win. The winners will be announced on Sunday, June 25th.
For another chance to win please click here and leave a comment on the Altenew Blog.
My layout is based on two colours which came from a piece I cut out from one of the patterned papers from the Reflection Scrapbook collection. I picked ink colours that matched (easy as the colours in the collection match the inks perfectly).

I stamped one flower onto my background paper and the second (green) one I stamped onto some cardstock. Using the die I cut out the flower so that I could place over the green from the patterned paper.
I kept the embellishments really simple.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Happy scrapping.

Altenew June 2017 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

13 June 2017

If you are hopping you have come from Therese's blog. If not you can start the blog hop over on the Altenew blog.

This month Altenew is releasing 9 stencils two of which are layered stencils. I chose to work with two of them. The Splatters and the Tree Ring. You can see my layout with the Tree Ring stencil on the Altenew Scrapbook blog. Here I'll be showing the Splatter stencil. I used it to create a whole background using a blender and the Rose Petal mini cube ink set as well as some other pink tones. (I have listed all the supplies below).

Now the fun part:

To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to FIVE lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog or/and Scrapbook Blog by Tuesday, June 20th at 11:59pm EDT for a chance to win. The winners will be announced on the Altenew Card/Scrapbook blogs on Thursday, June 22nd.

I will also each draw a winner to receive a $30 gift certificate. Please leave a comment by June 19th as I will pick a lucky winner on the 20th and announce it the same day.
